The Man with the Towel

Jacques, in his fifties, takes care of his bedridden, possessive mother Arlette. Their dull, routine-bound life revolves around a daily ritual: after his shower, Arlette dries Jacques’ long hair. One morning, a black bath towel found at the bottom of his well awakens in him a newfound desire for emancipation: to dry his hair on his own.
